Good for price

Strengths: Light and portable Beutiful Screen Nice connectivity options

Weakness: Sometime gets little hot

I got it at a resonable price from Staples sale. It is really a nice machine. Screen is beutiful. If you are average user the machine is quite loaded and you do not need to upgrade it at all. It does get little hot but I bought a chill pad so now the issue is reolved. It is not worth the retail price but if you find it at good price it is a very worth purchase. The rating is based on the price I...

I bought this after purchasing a...

Strengths: Brilliant screen, lightweight design, looks like an apple.

Weakness: Way too hot, dvd issues,no emergency disk.

I bought this after purchasing a 6200 series previously, probably a mistake, I though the weight would be better, but weight means hardware! I crashed it 5 hours after I got it, while trying to make a restore disk, had to reformate the whole drive. The dvd burners best speed is 2x, don't even think about watching movies while traveling, the dvd player started stuttering after only 40 minutes it...

Averatec 4265

Strengths: Nice cute looking, fully loaded, beautiful screen

Weakness: key pad too small

I bought this babe from staples couple of days ago, I love it very much so far. This laptop is really small and light, it also has the wide screen with ultra bright tech, good for movie on the lap. I also like the DVD RW very much, for this price, this babe worth more than it costs. Only thing is the kep pad is not sensitive and you need to download the update drive to bring the virtual scroll...

Powerful laptop with quite a few problems

Strengths: Powerful Mobile Pentium CPU, decent battery life, wireless, good screen, comes with plenty of RAM and HD space

Weakness: System runs very HOT! touchpad not very responsive even at the most sensitive setting, no recovery CD

The AV4265-EH1 is a very powerful laptop right out of the box. With the 512MB of RAM, 80Gb HD and DVD burner, this laptop can run windows XP very smoothly, no extra expense required. With the intel wireless card and centrino, the battery can last for 2hr+ easy. Considering the large high resolution 13'3, the battery life is quite decent. Just like the 700m, this is another twist of the Sony TR +...

Averatec 4625 Notebook

Strengths: Nice portable notebook with tons of power and space to do everyday tasks.

Weakness: Touchpad isn't very responsive however the new driver update seems to help a little.

I purchased this notebook because it was on clearance at staples for $600 with $100 easy rebate. I would not have even considered this notebook if it wasn't on sale. However I am glad I did find it because it is a great little notebook. The notebook seems very sturdy and well built. At first the touchpad seemed very unresponsive. I downloaded a new driver (www.synaptics.com/supp...) and that...
