I bought this Toshiba M205-S810 as an upgrade from a Compaq TC1000. While this tablet is not as small or as "attention getting," the overall useability and speed of this computer is much better. The processor power and boot up time of this computer is noticably improved. The screen size is easier on the eyes, while it still is very protable at around 4.5 lbs. First generation Windows XP tablets didn't exactly take the market by storm. Their screens weren't as good as regular notebooks, they were underpowered yet cost more than traditional notebooks.
