iTalk Pro is perfect for capturing how the world around you really sounds. Whether you're taking lecture notes, conducting an interview, or just want to bring the sounds of the great outdoors indoors, your only limitations are your iPod's capacity, and your own imagination. iTalk's twin built-in mics record directly to your iPod, and adjustable gain settings give you control over the volume. You can even use external microphones with iTalk Pro. Just plug your mic into the 3.5mm jack on the bottom of iTalk Pro.

Small and it works!
Strengths: Small, great recording quality. Simple interface.
Weakness: Color - wish it came in white to match my iPod.
Overall I am very satisfied with the iTalk Pro. It is small and just plugs into the port on the bottom of the iPod. I found it to work with my hard plastic protection case as well. You can adjust the type of recording, mono or audio, the quality and the audio gain. Simple enough for common use. I am going to use it to add sounds to my Podcasts.

iTalk Pro Voice Recorder cool idea
Strengths: Nice simple design and concept.
Weakness: Does not work with 4th gen iPod
The idea is simple enough to use the power of my iPod as a recording device. The seller was nice enough about refunding my money eventhough I'm out the cost of return shipping. The packaging clearly states 'works with 5th gen etc." it would have been helpful if it had also said "doesn't work with 4th gen or older etc."

Griffin iTalk Voice Recorder
Strengths: it's compact and is easy to use
Weakness: the recording quality is a bit fuzzy and i can't use it with my ipod case on
I also bought it because some of the reviews said it could also act as a speaker and I could play back my recording on it without headphones, but it doesn't work. I can't seem to find the option. otherwise it's great for simple recordings, nothing complex.

iTalk Pro Voice Recorder for iPod 80 GB Video
Strengths: The quality of sound recorded is perfect. I like the option of having been able to choose either mono or sterio recording
Weakness: Technically I don't see any. I have other product that has a mike and speaker build in. In some cases I see it usefull.
The seling price is in my opinion artificialy inflated. The other product I mentioned above is not so great but it does a job and I paid ten times less.

Strengths: Plug and use
this little device is very easy to use. All you need to do is plug it in your ipod and it pops up a menu on the screen to record sound. I use it a lot in meetings to record and use the playback later. It stays well connected to the ipod and does not tend to come off so easily. The sound quality is stereo and the mic on it is sensitive enough to record someone speaking far away in a meeting. All...
