Asus MyPal A636 GPS Pocket PC

Excellent device

Strengths: GPS is great, unit is compact and feature packed at a reasonable price, impressive battery life.

Weakness: Occasionally crashes. Car adapter is a bit awkward for my car's interior.

When I was shopping for a GPS unit most store assistants warned me against getting a PDA-style device, but I couldn't justify spending so much money for something that would just live in my car and give me directions. I was willing to accept slightly weaker GPS for a device that would do many more things, at the same price.

3-4 weeks into my ownership of the Mypal A636 I haven't found any reason to regret that decision at all! The GPS works very well, quickly calculating routes and recalculating when I make a wrong turn or decide to explore the area. The voice instructions are clearly heard through the speaker even with the top down and music playing, and the device has led me right to the door of every place I've asked it to find - since I've been apartment hunting that's a LOT of places, and the MyPal has saved me many hours of being lost.

The fact I can also use it to organise my appointments, take notes on the places I've seen, check my email in *bucks and play a game of bejewelled in bed are really just added bonuses :) I'm a very happy customer!

Strengths: just imagne what u can do with this baby

Weakness: its not as good as a black bery

its realy alright nothing to complain about if ur feeling like waisteing halgh a grand u know and how come i need like thirty freeking words for this arr i still need to more
