I lost one of the ear buds and the wire already!! my suggestion buy the Jabra is small to and doesn't come apart

Quirky Discovery 640 Headset

Strengths: Lightweight, various options for power/charging and storage, good sound quality

Weakness: earpiece attachment will not hold, must use ear loop-could lose headset easily if it falls off (as its so light)

As this is my first bluetooth headset, I can't compare it to others I've had before, for better or worse. I think this headset looks sleek, is lightweight and has adequate sound quality, but its not without its quirks...

You must use the optional ear loop if you don't want to lose the headset by having it fall out of your ear or the earpiece separating from the headset itself...otherwise you'll find yourself adjusting the earpiece fairly often to make sure its secure in your ear. The loop provides peice of mind at the very least.

The charging options as described by others is novel, but I prefer to just plug in the charger to the base/housing and go from there.

As for the carry case, its just too big to bring with you, so be content to leave it at home as your base of operations, and just bring the charger and housing and hope you don't lose the earpiece and ear loop.

Overall, I was satisfied with the headset battery life, sound quality and ease of operation.

One helpful hint: remember when first trying to link it to your phone, to hold the headset button down for at least 5 seconds, then its ready to link...there are 2 stages to this button hold-down and flashing light indicator-you need to get past the intial stage after you power up to enter set-up.

Good, but not great

Strengths: Size, weight, clarity are very good. I particularly like the way the ear piece fits in the ear. It is comfortable.

Weakness: Talk time is shorter than stated. I have not been able to get more than 2 charges with single AAA battery. Does not come with an adapter for Treo charger.

I would have given this product a higher rating if not for the charging methods. I wanted to leave the charger at home and only use the AAA battery charger when traveling. That method is not reliable and I use a lot of batteries. The earpiece rests in the charger, but does not lock in place. The red charging light does not light much of the time without very gentle pressure (battery method only)....

Previously I had used the Treo BT headset. The speaker rested on the ear and was very difficult to hear in crowded airports. The Discovery 640 headset is a vast improvement over the Treo.

Good Product

Strengths: Good Size, Excellent Volume, Easy to control, remarkably versatile set of ways to recharge

Weakness: occassionally strange beeps that I canot determine what they're suppose to mean

Performance is excellent. Always syncs, answers quickly (within 1.5 seconds) after being idle for some time. There is static at more than 3 feet with my Audiovox xv6600, but I think this is a problem of the phone. I have synced and talked over my computer and it sounds fine to about 15 feet. A Wonderful Bluetooth Headset for my BlackBerry 7520!

Strengths: Very small, lightweight, excellent sound quality and volume level, call control button is easy to use and has a good feel, easy to pair with my BlackBerry 7520.

Weakness: Missing mini-usb charge adpater, the Headset should be more close-fitting when inserted into the Headset Carrying Pocket, the shirt pocket clip is cheap and may be easy to break

I've tried three other bluetooth headsets (1.Logitech® Mobile Freedom™ Headset, 2.Logitech® Mobile Pro™ Headset, 3.Jabra BT800) and this is by far the BEST device. I would recommend this device to anyone. Don't be fooled by the size of the actual device. This small device will deliver very good audio; both on the sending and receiving ends.
